Crazy Movie Obsessions

My girls have crazy movie obsessions! When Haley was three years old you would think she would have been crazy for “Cinderella” or “The Little Mermaid” like most three year old girls. No, she was obsessed with, ”My Big Fat Greek Wedding!”

She must have watched that movie at least 50 times. She would watch it over and over. I still can’t figure out why. It’s not like she could understand why using Windex to cure everything is a preposterous idea, or why big Greek families are the way they are. Never the less, she loved it. Especially when she didn’t feel well. She would curl up in front of the T.V. and down a big helping of Greek hilarity.

Now, Emily on the other hand, has developed a rather curious obsession with, “Confessions of a Shopaholic”

Again, not really sure why. It’s not like she understands the world of finance or the perilous world of debt. Although, the girl does have a rather unhealthy relationship with Target (she gets that from yours truly.) The other day she was home from school with the stomach flu and of course watched this movie back to back. Thank you Netflix on demand! What is it with these flicks? And, why are they so soothing when one is sick?

My weird, not feeling so well movie, “Dr. Zhivago.” Why? I don’t know. It always seemed to be on when I was home sick. Maybe, I have a thing for Omar Sharif or the Russian classics. Who knows?
