Big Boy

I had another ultrasound today and our little guy looks like he may be a linebacker!  He is already 7lbs. 13 oz. and the Doctor said he will gain another 2 lbs. in the next two weeks!  Oh my gosh!!!!  From the way I have been feeling I knew he wasn’t going to be a runt.  They also did a 3D ultrasound this time and I got to see how cute my little guy is. Those things are so cool.  He was sleeping and resting his head on the placenta like a little pillow (just to help you visualize, Mike had a hard time at first.)

Look at those cute pudgy cheeks!  They look so squeezable!!  I guess it’s a good thing I am having a c-section if he is really going to be as big as they say he is. 

Getting Ready

Nope, I don’t have the nursery ready.  I don’t have his clothes washed and organized.  I have diapers, but not wipes.  What I do have is a make shift photo studio all set and ready to go.  Because, you know that’s the most important thing!  I am ready to take all kinds of wonderful pictures of this new little guy.  Here are some of my test shots.

Showered with Love

Last Saturday, some wonderful friends put together a beautiful shower for me and our new little guy.  It was fun, tasty and all around amazing.   They chose a Parisian theme, which was very apropos (one of these days I should share that story.)  They made beautiful little cheesecakes and yummy crêpes to name of the few yummies.  I was overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity and their excitement in sharing our joy.  Thank you to everyone, especially Christine, Emily & Jamie for going way above and beyond, making it a very special day for me.  You guys are wonderful!!

Great Friends

I was so overwhelmed this weekend when this came in the mail…

I have two of the best friends in the entire world, who are throwing a shower for me this weekend.  Emily made the most amazing invite for the event.  I hate to admit it, but I cried when I opened it!  I was the most beautiful invite that I had ever seen.  It was so me!!  So, of course I had to scan it and save it for posterity sake.  The time, effort and expense that went into it blows me away.  Thank you so much Emily you are WONDERFUL!!!
